NatureTrack is deeply grateful to Orange County Coastkeeper and the California State Coastal Conservancy for supporting our work through the Beach and Coast Accessibility Program.
With this grant, NatureTrack purchased six Freedom Trax units—battery-powered, joystick-controlled attachments that connect to manual wheelchairs and allow users to independently navigate sand, hiking trails and other challenging terrain.
During a NatureTrack outing at Bolsa Chica State Beach, participants used the Freedom Trax to explore the shoreline with greater freedom and independence. The day was filled with connection, discovery and the simple joy of experiencing California’s beautiful coast without physical barriers.
We are also honored that Orange County Coastkeeper shared NatureTrack’s work with its community of 14,000 subscribers and featured our story on its website.
