Dear Sue, Thank you very much for the exceptional educational experiences that you and your staff provided for our second grade class. I apprecated the way that you incorporated art, activities, and hands-on projects to reinforce the concept that was being taught and reinforced.

In June 2013 our 2nd grade from Ontiveros Elementary School in Santa Maria went on a Nature Track field trip in Los Olivos. Approximately one hundred sixty students had the opportunity to hike, observe nature, play nature games, learn about the environment, and were exposed to facts about California history. Our students have few opportunities to venture out in our Central Coast environment. This field trip planted seeds in young minds to further explore our natural world. Dear Sue, Late but heartfelt are my thanks to you and the wonderful Nature Track Program for providing great outdoor learning experiences for my Kindergarten students over the past few years. Year after year, I have witnessed reluctant young explorers find joy and wonder in their time with you and your amazing docents. They have overcome fears of the unknown through knowledge of the great outdoors and they have learned to look and listen carefully. More importantly, they have learned to appreciate and understand their roles as keepers of the planet. Our most recent trip to 4Deer Ranch was incredible. Students were excited by all the bird life, the artful murals, as well as the stocking of the pond. Using gifts from nature like acorns and wild flowers to decorate their pottery was memorable, too. Students asked about when we might return to that "fun" place. As the school year ended, Kinders were asked to talk about their favorite memories. The Ranch outing and the Farm Track gleaning trip last fall were at the top of their list. Thank you again for your expert care and planning of Nature Track activities.
